Dry Martini Cocktails

Although these are very easily prepared drinks there are more theories and rituals about the proper method of preparation than almost any other cocktail. Also there are innumerable variations. The one commonly agreed essential is that they must be served Ice cold.

Dry Martini Cocktail

You will need for 1 glass:

5-6 Ice cubes 3 parts gin

1 part dry French 1 Spanish olive vermouth

1 Put the Ice cubes into a glass jug.

2 Pour the vermouth and gin over the ice.

3 Stir (never shake) vigorously and evenly without splashing.

4 Strain and pour into a chilled martini glass.

5 Spear the olive with a toothpick and drop it into the drink.
