A few impressions before starting my tour Ultraluxe Time + Tide Chinzombo is located in Zambia’s South Luangwa. The clip also includes a safari inside South Luai South Luangwa is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. Time + Tide Chinzombo enjoys a tranquil location. The ultraluxe lodge is set along an expansive curve of the Luangwa River. The lodge is just across the river from South Luangwa. The lodge has just six enormous riverside villas. I stayed in this villa during my visit. Room category: two bedroom family villa. The master bedroom features a king size bed. It became a national park in 1972 and is now one of the continent’s major attractions. South Luangwa was founded as a game reserve in 1938. South Luangwa features dramatic topography. It is bordered to the west by a steep escarpment and to the east by the Luangwa River. The main pavilion sits on white-washed decking. It features an open-plan design that feels airy and contemporary. The main pavilion retains its bush authenticity. Grass and canvas walls melt into the exquisitely tranquil riverside setting. The pavilion features a well-stocked bar Behind the bar is a small library of reference books. Carr started his career as a ranger in South Luangwa. Carr was affectionately nicknamed 1 Kakuli by locals, meaning ‘old buffalo. Breakfast is also served here. I’ll show the breakfast buffet later in this clip. The pavilion’s eyecatcher is a crescent-shaped couch. The lounge area makes the most of the lovely views.
All meals, transfers, laundry, minibar and safari activities are included though. The lodge enjoys a spectacular view of the sunrise. I’ll now show how a typical day at Time + Tide Chinzombo looks like. Hot dishes are served as well. Toasts and eggs are made to order over a campfire. South Luangwa is one of the best wildlife parks in Africa. Impalas, zebras, giraffes, elephants and buffaloes wander on the wide-open plains. The leopard is a solitary animal, hunting usually at night. They prey on small antelope, rodents, baboons, monkeys and birds. Time for a coffee & tea morning break. The Time + Tide staff always picks a scenic spot for a break. This is the dessert buffet. After lunch, guests also have to select their choices for the 3 course dinner. Lions mate every 15 minutes for up to 5 days. This means that if they last a full 5 days, they can mate more than 250 times. Mating is a painful process for the female lion. The pain (caused by the male lion’s barbed penis) induces ovulation & permits fertilization. Time to return to the lodge for a delicious dinner The three course meal is served in the main pavilion.
