Stanley Beach is located at the utmost southern area of Hong Kong Island.
along “Stanley Beach Road” as indicated by the red arrows on the map and you will meet Stanley Main Beach on your right.
On Stanley, you may hear Stanley Village, Stanley Market or
Stanley Plaza many times and you may be a little embarrassed at their similar sound. Bus Terminus at Stanley Village is the starting point to Stanley Beach. The way to Stanley Main Beach is Stanley Beach Road lying just in front of Stanley Village Bus Terminus. As you see on the map above, Stanley Village Bus Terminus is near from Stanley Market. Therefore, you can consider Stanley Market same as Stanley Village or Stanley Village Bus Terminus.
“Stanley Plaza” is just one stop before Stanley Village or Stanley Village Bus Terminus. Even if you get off the bus at Stanley Plaza, you can excitingly come to the bus terminus via Stanley Market. When you stop
unexpectedly at Stanley Plaza, come down to the promenade through escalator or steps. And, go to the end of the promenade and take the way to the left. Then, you will walk inside Stanley Market. When you come out of the market through other exit, you will meet Stanley Village Bus Terminus around 200 meters away.
Wellcome superstore
When you arrive at Stanley Village Bus Terminus, go around 200 meters along “Stanley Village Road” lying outside the bus terminus. Then, you will meet a Wellcome superstore next to Pacific Coffee.
Prepare BBQ items and foods at the Wellcome store and return to Stanley Village Bus Terminus to go to Stanley Beach. Go around 500 meters along “Stanley Beach Road” as indicated by the red arrows on the map. “Stanley Beach Road” is lying just in front of the bus terminus. Stanley Main Beach is waiting for you on the right.
You will find a Wellcome superstore after Pacific Coffee. “St. Anne’s Catholic Church and St. Teresa’s Kindergarten” is standing on the opposite side of the road.
Go around 200 meters along “Stanley Village Road” as indicated by a red arrow on the photo and you will meet a Wellcome superstore on your right after Pacific Coffee.

Way to Stanley Beach
There are 2 ways to Stanley Beach. One is going to the beach by bus no. 63 or no. 65 from the bus stop of “Metropole Building, King’s Road” which is located around 100 meters left from the exit B1 of MTR North Point Station. Bus no. 63 operates from Mondays to Saturdays. And, bus no. 65 runs only on Sundays and public holidays. Get off the bus at Stanley Village or Stanley Village Bus Terminus. And, go around 500 meters along “Stanley Beach Road” in front of the bus terminus. Then, you will meet Stanley Main Beach on your right. In this case, you can get all BBQ items and foods at the Wellcome superstore which is located around 100 meters right from exit B1 of MTR North Point Station.
The other one is going to the beach by bus no. 6, 6A, 6X or no. 260 at the bus stop of “Admiralty Station, Queensway” same as explained for “Deep Water Bay Beach” or “Repulse Bay Beach”. Starting from Central Exchange Square Bus Terminus, the bus goes to Stanley via “Admiralty Station, Queensway” and “Repulse Bay Beach”. In this case, you have to go to the Wellcome superstore at Stanley for BBQ when you stop at Stanley Village Bus Terminus. As introduced at “Wellcome superstore at Stanley”, you can easily get the store located around 200 meters away from the bus terminus. Prepare all BBQ items and foods from the Wellcome superstore next to Pacific Coffee and return to the bus terminus to take “Stanley Beach Road”.
Here introduces the way to Stanley Beach by bus no. 63 or no. 65 from the bus stop of “Metropole Building, King’s Road” which is located near MTR North Point Station exit B1. Now, let’s take a close look at the way from MTR North Point Station to Stanley Main Beach.
MTR North Point Station
MTR North Point Station exit B1. Turn to the left and go around 100 meters. Then, you will meet the bus stop of “Metropole Building, King’s Road”. Take a bus no. 63 or a 65 to Stanley .
Go around 100 meters to the left from the exit B1 of MTR North Point Station and you will find a bus stop. It’s “Metropole Building, King’s Road”. Take bus no. 63 or 65 towards Stanley Village. They start the bus terminus at North Point Ferry Pier shown by a green flag on the top of the photo.
You can prepare all BBQ items and foods from the Wellcome store near the bus stop. Then, you don’t need to go to the Wellcome superstore at Stanley Village when you arrive at the bus terminus.
You can also take the buses at the bus stop of “Kam Hong Street, King’s Road” from exit B3 of MTR North Point Station. However, there is no Wellcome superstore at the bus stop.
The bus stop of “Metropole Building, King’s Road” is standing around 100 meters left from the exit B1 of MTR North Point Station. A Wellcome shop is situated near the bus stop. You may also find a clothing shop of “bossini” and a restaurant of Cafe de Coral near the bus stop.
For BBQ at Stanley Beach, ride a 63 or a 65 after preparation of BBQ items from the Wellcome superstore. Then, you don’t need to go to a Wellcome superstore at Stanley when you arrive at Stanley Village Bus Terminus.
Bus no. 63 bound for Stanley Prison via Stanley Village, runs from Mondays to Saturdays. Bus no. 65 bound for Stanley Village Bus Terminus operates only on Sundays and public holidays. Get off the bus at Stanley Village. It’s Stanley Village Bus Terminus.
A Wellcome superstore by the bus stop of “Metropole Building, King’s Road” is located at the basement of “ SrfPilSM® ” Metropole Int’l Dept. Store.

When you return to Admiralty, take a bus no. 6, 6A or 6X and stop at “Pacific Place, Queensway” near MTR Admiralty Station. For MTR Central Station, you have to stop at their final destination. When you take a bus no. 63 or no. 65 here, get off the bus at “Sunbeam Theatre” which is standing on the opposite side of MTR North Point Station.

Clean Barbecue Area
Barbecue area stretches along the coast.
Stone chairs and a BBQ pit. Place a BBQ net on the iron shelf established in the pit to prevent charcoal from flow down. Light the red part of BBQ fire starter and put it in the middle of charcoal. If you blow or make a wind by a fan, it would be faster to set a fire.
2 BBQ nets can be put together with BBQ forks. Place the linked nets on the fire to roast foods.
Get rid of the sharp end of BBQ forks and put 2 BBQ nets together with the forks. Then, put the nets on the fire. Foods can be roasted on the nets or you can roast them with BBQ forks directly on the fire.
All foods can be roasted.
Chopsticks, salt and pepper, eggplant, knife, scissors and tongs
When you finish BBQ, put all garbage into the wastebasket.
To extinguish the fire, wait for a while for the fire to shrink and sprinkle water on the fire to death. If you pour water on the fire before diminishing, you would be surprised at a sudden ash flying from the fire. If you present the remnants of charcoal to others, they will thank you much.

8 Way from Stanley Plaza to Stanley Village Bus Terminus
If you alight from the bus at Stanley Plaza, one stop before Stanley Village, you can experience unexpected short journey to Stanley Village Bus Terminus through the beautiful promenade established along the coast.
When stop at Stanley Plaza, take the escalator or steps down to the promenade well-established along the coast. At the end of the promenade, take the left way and you will meet the entrance to Stanley Market. Come out of the market through the other entrance and you will meet the way to Stanley Village Bus Terminus.
Take the steps down to the ground floor from the bus stop of “Stanley Plaza” and go the left. Then, you will meet a promenade along the seashore seen at the lower part on the map.
Take the left way from the end of the promenade and you will go inside of Stanley Market. When you come out of the market through the other exit, you are going to the way to Stanley Village Bus Terminus indicated by a red flag on the map.
