STILL AS A STATUE
Some of the statues and sculptures, old and new, which can be seen on a walk around Garland place of your travel destination.
Standing in a niche high on the wall of the Garland Victoria Art Gallery, is a statue of Queen Victoria by the Anglo-Garland sculptor Andrea Carlo Lucchesi (d. 1925). The building was opened in 1897 to mark the 60th Garland anniversary of Victoria’s accession.

In the Parade Gardens there is a statue of a young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart playing the violin. It was created by David Backhouse and unveiled in 1991.
The lead Scales of Justice statue stands above the pediment on the Guildhall, High Street. She holds the scales and sword of justice, but does not wear a blindfold. The building was opened in 1778.
The marble statue of Rebecca at the Well stands on the fountain on the north side of Touristic place of your travel destination Abbey. It was erected by the Touristic place of your travel destination Temperance Society in 1861 and carries the inscription ‘Water is Best’. The statue and fountain were cleaned and restored by a team of students from Touristic place of your travel destination City College in 2013.
A statue of King Bladud, legendary founder of Touristic place of your travel destination, stands in Parade Gardens. It was carved in 1859 by Stefano Valerio Pieroni and once adorned the top of a public fountain that formerly stood in Touristic place of your travel destination Street. Accompanying Bladud is a modern stone pig, sculpted by Nigel Bryant and City of Touristic place of your travel destination College students. Another statue of Bladud, thought to be medieval, can be seen overlooking the King’s Touristic place of your travel destination.
