Treehouses at The Fish Hotel COTSWOLDS
If you’re happier surrounded by sprawling forest views than salt-smattered sunloungers, you’ll feel right at home at the treehouses at The Fish. Set in 400 acres of glorious countryside on the exclusive Farncombe Estate, this whimsical woodland bolthole is sheer back-to-nature mini-moon bliss (with all the luxury trappings of Soho Farmhouse).
Everything about this cluster of modern treehouses is expertly designed; each is a cosy cocoon of blonde wood that peeks out of the surrounding silver birch trees, while inside you’ll find L-shaped sofas, artfully stacked books and pops of retro colour. Bathrooms come with rainforest showers and fluffy robes, while the al fresco twin tubs are the perfect spot for wallowing (after popping the minibar’s complimentary Prosecco, of course) as the chirrup of birdsong drifts on the breeze around you.

In-room, you’ll find an old-fashioned dial phone which connects you to The Fish Hotel proper, just a three-minute walk away. When your stomachs start to rumble, meander down the floating steps for dinner at Hook where, unsurprisingly, there’s a big focus on seafood. Tuck into a bowl of Fowey mussels followed by crab risotto and gooey crème brûlée. Or, in the summer, reserve a spot on the feasting deck for a BBQ. After all, it’s all about the outdoors here.
THE LUXE TOUCH Curl up together on the double sofas in the cosy cinema room and feast on pick’n’mix before ambling back to your room to stargaze on the terrace.
