Welcome to Singapore. This city is a melting pot of ethnicities. There is no shortage of diversity and good food, for that matter. At first glance the city seems ultra modern and cosmopolitan, but when you dig a little deeper you’ll notice it’s held onto its traditions and culture. We’ve got a lot to see and explore. All right, here we go. The Singapore Flyer is huge. We can see everything, all of the skyscrapers, the bay.
Singapore is beautiful, especially from this high up. I can see the Gardens by the Bay with the Conservatory, and the Sky Trees. Gardens by the Bay is Singapore’s premiere urban outdoor recreation space, with over 250 acres of garden. Whoa! Look at this waterfall! Cruising along the Singapore River you see the contrast between the colonial buildings on one side, and the modern skyscrapers on the other. So Clarke Quay is the hip and happening part of Singapore, because of its nightlife, and its restaurants. You haven’t seen Singapore if you haven’t seen the Raffles Hotel. It is such an iconic part of the city.

And it’s home to the Long Bar, where you can have the Singapore Sling. Cheers! Cheers. The Singapore Night Safari is a one of a kind experience. I just love how you can see all of these animals that only come out at night. They’re nocturnal, and this is the best way to see them. There’s no experience like this. Little India is such a unique little place. You feel like you are in India. You can smell the food. There’s the color, the people, it’s just so vibrant. It’s not a great city unless it has a Chinatown. Going through all the little market stalls, eating traditional Chinese food, and then taking a trishaw through Chinatown. Woo hoo! The cable car over to Sentosa Island only takes about 15 minutes, and the views are spectacular. We’re here, let’s explore! I am surrounded by fish in this tunnel. We have had such a fun time here in Singapore. From parks, to culture, to gardens this city really does have something for everybody.
Singapore Zoo Night Safari Tour
Tonight, as the sun goes down on Singapore, I’m heading out on a one of a kind experience, the Night Safari. Animals that come out during the day are called diurnal animals, but the animals here are called nocturnal animals. Safarring makes me hungry like a lion no matter what type of animal you are, the Ulu Ulu Restaurant has something that will tickle your taste buds. The fire show’s about to start. Wow! My shirt? That was so crazy! Now, for the highlight of the night, the tram ride. Adventuring through the rain forest right now, we’ve been through the Himalayas, we’re going to Africa, so many different landscapes. These are Asian lions, they can be found in the forests of India. That was so much fun! I had such a wild time here at the Night Safari, walking through the trails, riding on the tram, I even got to be in a fire show, but what makes this experience so special is that a had the rare opportunity to get up close and personal with animals that only come out at night.
Singapore’s Chinatown Trishaw Night Tour
It’s a balmy night here in Singapore. And we’re going to explore this city’s vibrant Chinatown. First stop of the night, I’m getting my name written in Chinese calligraphy on a fan. Check it out, that’s my name in Chinese calligraphy. So we’re right here in the heart of Chinatown. And we have some free time to go through the markets, look through the stalls, and do a bit of shopping. I’m loving this. All of the food is on this wheel. And you just spin it around, take a little bit of everything. And it’s communal, so you just enjoy a conversation with the people at your table. Here’s the part I’ve been looking forward to the most. We’re gonna take a trishaw ride through Chinatown. The fun keeps going. Now we’re gonna hop on a boat and cruise down the Singapore River. What a fun way to end the night, zipping around in the trishaw, dinner in Chinatown, going through all the markets, and then this lovely boat ride along the Singapore River. It’s been perfect.
